How thick is the stainless steel ventilation pipe generally required for welding the air duct?

The thickness of stainless steel ventilation pipe plate should be determined according to the specific application scenario of ventilation system, pressure requirements, the size of air duct and other factors. The following are the general use standards:

low pressure system

When the long side dimension b of rectangular air duct is less than or equal to b≤320mm, the thickness of stainless steel plate is generally 0.5mm.

When 320mm < b ≤ 450mm, the thickness is usually 0.6mm.

When 450 mm < b ≤ 630 mm, the recommended thickness is 0.75 mm.

When 630 mm < b ≤ 1000 mm, 0.75mm or 1.0mm stainless steel plate is generally used, which can be determined according to the actual situation.

When 1000 mm < b ≤ 1250 mm, the thickness is usually 1.0 mm.

When 1250 mm < b ≤ 2000 mm, the thickness of stainless steel plate is generally 1.2 mm.

When 2000 mm < b ≤ 4000 mm, 1.5mm thick stainless steel plate is recommended.

Medium voltage system

When the long side dimension b of rectangular air duct is less than or equal to b≤320mm, the thickness of stainless steel plate is generally 0.75mm.

When 320mm < b ≤ 450mm, the thickness is usually 0.75mm or 1.0mm.

When 450 mm < b ≤ 630 mm, the recommended thickness is 1.0 mm.

When 630 mm < b ≤ 1000 mm, 1.0mm or 1.2mm stainless steel plate is generally used.

When 1000 mm < b ≤ 1250 mm, the thickness is usually 1.2 mm.

When 1250 mm < b ≤ 2000 mm, the thickness of stainless steel plate is generally 1.2mm or 1.5 mm.

When 2000 mm < b ≤ 4000 mm, 1.5mm thick stainless steel plate is recommended.

high-pressure system

When the long side dimension b of rectangular air duct is less than or equal to b≤320mm, the thickness of stainless steel plate is generally 1.2mm.

When 320mm < b ≤ 450mm, the thickness is usually 1.2mm or 1.5mm..

When 450 mm < b ≤ 630 mm, the recommended thickness is 1.5 mm.

When 630 mm < b ≤ 1000 mm, 1.5mm or 2.0mm stainless steel plates are generally used.

When 1000 mm < b ≤ 1250 mm, the thickness is usually 2.0 mm.

When 1250 mm < b ≤ 2000 mm, the thickness of stainless steel plate is generally 2.0mm or 2.5 mm.

When 2000 mm < b ≤ 4000 mm, 2.5mm thick stainless steel plate is recommended.

exceptional case

If the gas conveyed by the ventilation pipeline has special properties such as corrosiveness, high temperature and high humidity, or has higher requirements on the tightness and strength of the ventilation system, it may be necessary to appropriately increase the thickness of the plate.

For circular stainless steel ventilation pipes, under the same pressure and size, the thickness of the plate is generally slightly thinner than that of rectangular air pipes, but the specific thickness still needs to be determined according to the actual situation.
